Great grandmas think alike ... read more for big tooth news

Anne's pants are from Gram Sheri, and her onesie is from Grandma Gloria -- once again, the grandmas have gotten Carter's clothes that coordinate perfectly without any duplication OR coordination. Same blues, same two shades of pink.

Anne is playing in her new play yard, which is a little baby prison in the corner of our living room. Now that she can crawl, Anne needs a little place of her own.

Also, big news in Anne's mouth! We didn't expect it, but on Saturday, her left top front tooth arrived. Which explained a lot. Anne had a rough week with more reflux and fussing over bottles. She seems to be on the mend now, except for a little cold.

Hop! No, wait, sit! (video)

We were hoping to capture Anne using her legs to hop like a bunny. She's trying so hard to crawl! She did it briefly, but more importantly, she pushed herself up to sit for the first time ever. And we caught it on video!

Another week, another screening

Anne was re-screened last week by the D.C. Early Intervention Program, which sends evaluators to the house to see how she's doing.

GREAT NEWS! Anne is really beginning to catch up to her birth date, as opposed to her due date. She's doing what you would expect an 8-month-old to do in areas across the board -- gross motor skills, fine motor skills, language, etc. That's between her adjusted age of 7 months and her real age of 9 months. The occupational therapist who played with her for more than an hour didn't see any areas where Anne needs extra help and was very pleased with her progress.

We'll see Anne's developmental pediatrician at Children's Hospital later this month.

We don't spend too much time worrying about any delays Anne might have because of her prematurity. We just like to have her checked periodically to make sure any trouble spots are noticed and that she gets extra help if she needs it. Many of her other preemie pals have had physical therapy and other help.

Meantime, here are pictures of Anne with her preemie pal Taylor. She kissed him on the cheek today. She may have been trying to bite him, but only to see how he tastes. We hope.
